Aberdeen Shipwreck Jan 1916

Ocean Beach near Kirkham, on January 28, 1916 the ship Aberdeen carrying a load of garbage to be dumped in the ocean was wrecked in bad weather off Point Reyes. Wreckage from the ship was strewn along Ocean Beach with the largest piece settling near the foot of Kirkham Street. eight men onboard all died in the wreck.
